South Carolina misplaced certainly one of its commitments for the Class of 2024 on Tuesday.
Mike Williams introduced on Twitter that he’s opening up his recruitment. The three-star offensive lineman dedicated to the Gamecocks final month.
“After additional consideration I want to announce that I will probably be decommitting from the College of South Carolina and reopening my recruitment. Thanks to all of the coaches on the College of South Carolina,” Williams posted on Twitter.
Williams selected USC over reported provides from Miami, Southern Cal, Michigan State, Tennessee, West Virginia and Florida. He is rated the No. 1,141 gamers and No. 91 offensive tackles within the 2024 class, per the 247Sports Composite.
The 6-foot-7, 315-pound lineman was a highschool teammate of 2023 Gamecocks signee Desmond Umeozulu at CH Flowers Excessive in Maryland.
Williams’ decommitment provides the Gamecocks’ eight verbal commitments for the Class of 2024, three of that are offensive linemen.
